Smokin’ Dragon’s sauces are hand made with love, fire and a generous amount of hardwood smoke in Gibsons, BC on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Owners Chris Van Nus and Karen Blunderfield create the Smokin’ Dragon line of sauces at Smoke on the Water, their popular BBQ shack they run overlooking the Gibsons marina. Only the finest ingredients are used in their top-secret recipes for the various sauces, but they all begin with slow smoked and roasted peppers.
Chef-crafted
Van Nus relies on his experience as a head chef, pastry chef and award winning sommelier to create his unique flavour forward sauce combinations. Smokin’ Dragon’s sauces are intended to enhance, not overwhelm, the foods and drinks they are paired with. “It’s about my love of getting back to really good food, not overly prepared. I want to showcase magical flavours that slow, patient cooking can create.”
